Technical Tours

As of April 28, most details for the technical tours are finalized.

Tours will take place on both Tuesday, July 5 from 1-5 PM and Saturday, July 9, from 1-5 PM. We are splitting up the tours into two days in response to feedback from previous attendees. Now, we are offering more flexibility to accommodate differing travel schedules. For both days, people attending the tours must meet at the Regency Foyer in the SF Palace (the conference hotel). We will limit attendance to 50 people each. Registration for these events is already taking place through the conference Indico portal as an option for registered conference attendees. There is no charge for the tour for registered attendees. Reservations are first come, first served.

The list of people attending the tour shall be finalized two weeks prior to the conference, so we unfortunately can not accept last minute additions. There are no restrictions on nationality for people on the tour and photographs are encouraged. We can not accommodate attendees driving themselves to the tour location; everyone must leave and return via the tour bus.

We will be visiting SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory on the Stanford campus. Planned areas for the tour include the 2 mile long linear accelerator, the advanced RF accelerator test facility, and SLAC's modulator development facilities. Once the agenda is finalized, it will be posted on this page.
